Our History

Ghost Hand Productions is a media company with expertise in the development of video content and broadcast production support. Founded in 1999, GHP strives to provide an unseen foundation, or the ‘ghost hand,’ for a range of services from crewing and cinema rentals through to end-to-end, full-service video or broadcast productions for its clients and partners. This work ethic was officially incorporated into the brand in 2007.

Boasting a consortium of professionals that can bring any-scale of production support, GHP leadership works to maintain a boutique, high-touch environment. With decades of experience from the world’s biggest stages — including the Olympics, major sports properties, documentaries and episodic television work — our producers and directors work to ensure content aligns with vision and creates the desired impact. This level of expertise extends into the post production cycle where our team of graphic artists, editors and colorists help to craft a compelling story and ensure that vision carries through to the finished product.

GHP is headquartered in Aptos, CA, with editing suites, an insert stage, recording booth and control room facilities. With equipment supporting the entire technical ecosystem, GHP can deploy systems including multicam broadcast solutions or cinema camera systems and all required support. As a result the Ghost Hand team understands how story perspectives and technical deployments are intertwined and can address that duality within the planning cycle. This translates to saving time and effort in a one-stop shop as clients are guided through the entire process – whether a testimonial video or a multi-camera live streamed environment.
